20, 2019) Mike Spatola III and his Spatola Racing
team ventured to Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana on Saturday,
October 19 for the annual running of the 'Kokomo Klash.' The
unsanctioned contest in the Hoosier State boasted a $2,019 top
prize. Mike laid down the fastest lap in his group during the
qualifying session before placing second in his loaded heat
race. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in
the 25-lap main event, Mike steered past four competitors during
the 'Kokomo Klash' en route to a strong third place podium performance
behind only victor Rusty Schlenk and runner-up Shelby Miles.

Spatola Wins Heat Race in $15k
FALS Frenzy; Winds Up Thirteenth
13, 2019) The #89 team invaded Fairbury Speedway
in downtown Fairbury, Illinois on October 11-12 for 'FALS Frenzy.'
The doubleheader weekend in the Land of Lincoln was scheduled
to start with a $5,000 to win weekend opener, but that show
was nixed due to rain showers on Friday night. At FALS on Saturday
evening, Mike Spatola III clicked off the second fastest lap
in Group B during the qualifying session prior to securing a
heat race triumph. After rolling off from the outside of the
second row in the $15,000 to win headliner and running towards
the front early in the 60-lap main event, Mike wound up fading
late in the distance to cross underneath the checkers in the

Win of 2019 at Sycamore Speedway!
8, 2019) For the eighth time in 2019, Mike Spatola
III celebrated in victory lane - this time at Sycamore Speedway
in Maple Park, Illinois on Saturday evening, September 7. Mike
earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior
to securing a heat race triumph. "Opie" then led most
of the 50-lap feature distance before grabbing the point for
good with only three circuits remaining in the unsanctioned
contest. Mike beat Ryan Unzicker, Jonathon Braun, Lyle Zanker,
and Toby Kuntzelman to the checkered flag to bag the $3,000

Spatola Nabs Top Five Against
Strong AELMT Crowd at Farmer City
1, 2019) The Spatola Racing team entered a pair
of $5,000 to win American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) showdowns
on August 30-31 in their home state of Illinois. On Friday night
at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois, Mike Spatola
III won his heat race and later placed fifth in the final finishing
order of the 40-lap contest behind only victor Bobby Pierce,
Jimmy Mars, Brian Shirley, and Billy Moyer. At Fairbury Speedway
in downtown Fairbury, Illinois in a similar program on Saturday
evening, Mike once again scored a victory in his heat race,
but unfortunately missed the setup on his #89 machine in the
40-lapper and slipped back to twelfth at the unfurling of the

Mike Spatola Continues Hot Streak
- Wins Again at Farmer City!
25, 2019) Mike Spatola III continued his recent
hot streak by capturing his seventh feature victory of 2019
on Friday evening, August 23 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer
City, Illinois! Mike knocked down the third quickest time overall
during qualifying prior to scoring a heat race triumph. After
starting the weekly main event from the pole position, Mike
led the second half of the contest to capture the $1,000 top
prize over Allen Weisser, Kevin Weaver, Rich Bell, and Matt
At Fairbury Speedway on Saturday night, August 24, a $2,500
winner's check was on the line in the final points night at
the downtown Fairbury, Illinois oval. After experiencing motor
issues in his own #89 mount during the qualifying session, "Opie"
took fellow competitor Jeff Curl up on his offer to pilot his
#12 machine for the remainder of the show. Mike placed sixth
in his heat race and won his B-Main prior to picking off nine
cars during the 30-lap race to land in the ninth finishing position.
The Manhattan, Illinois ace was officially placed second in

lane for the sixth time in 2019 on Friday night, August 16 at
Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois! After timing in
fourth quickest overall during qualifying and placing second
in his heat race, Mike Spatola III rolled off from the outside
of the second row in the weekly main event. Mike then had a
great race with Ryan Unzicker and Jason Feger before taking
the top spot for good with around five laps remaining in the
contest. "Opie" went on to capture the $1,000 win
over Donny Walden, Rich Bell, Mike Mataragas, and Bill Giannetti.

'FALS Cup' weekly event for the Super Late Models on Saturday,
August 3. Mike Spatola III timed in seventh fastest overall
during qualifying, but brake problems prior to the heat race
caused him to start last on the grid in the prelim. Mike then
rallied to finish third and later rolled off from the inside
of the sixth row in the $2,500 to win main event. "Opie"
was able to steer past four cars during the 30-lap contest to

28, 2019) Next up on the racing calendar for
Mike Spatola III was a visit to Fairbury Speedway in downtown
Fairbury, Illinois on July 26-27 for the 30th edition of the
'Prairie Dirt Classic,' which was once again sanctioned by the
World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. A total
of 72 cars converged at FALS over the weekend for the mega-event
that boasted a $30,000 winner's check. On Friday night, Mike
knocked down the eighteenth fastest lap in Group B during time
trials and later moved up to seventh in his $2,500 to win qualifying
feature event. "Opie" then placed fourth in his B-Main
on Saturday evening and fifth in the Non-Qualifiers Race, which
unfortunately kept the Manhattan, Illinois racer out of the

21, 2019) Mike Spatola III and his Spatola Racing
team elevated their 2019 win total to three over the July 19-20
weekend with a pair of victories in the Land of Lincoln! On
Friday night in the annual 'JR Kimler Memorial' at Farmer City
Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois, Mike earned Fast Time honors
during the qualifying session, won his heat race in preliminary
action, and later pulled off an exciting last lap pass on his
cousin Frank Heckenast, Jr. to bag the $3,000 winner's check.
"Opie" beat Heckenast, Jr., Jason Feger, Mckay Wenger,
and Ryan Unzicker to the checkered flag at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds
At Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois
on Saturday evening, Mike once again laid down the quickest
lap overall in qualifying and won his heat race prior to leading
each and every lap in the weekly 'FALS Cup' feature event to
