On Tuesday night in the Summer Nationals opener at Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois, Mike Spatola III knocked down the fastest lap in his group during qualifying prior to placing third in his heat race and twelfth in the $5,000 to win feature event. The third and final "Hell Tour" program of the hectic week took place on Sunday at Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois. "Opie" finished sixth in his stacked heat race and fourth in his B-Main, which forced him to rely on another provisional to gain access into the $5,000 to win headliner. Mike was then able to advance past six competitors during the 40-lapper to leave Sycamore with a fourteenth place performance.
