(May 3, 2026) The Spatola Racing team ventured to both Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois and Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois on May 1-2 for a pair of weekly Super Late Model shootouts. With a $1,500 winner's check up for grabs in Friday's weekend opener at Kankakee, Mike Spatola III earned Fast Time honors in qualifying, won his heat race, and later placed third in the 25-lap feature despite suffering a flat tire near the halfway mark. At FALS on Saturday with a $2,500 payday on the line, Mike placed fourth in his heat race before climbing to third in the 30-lapper to trail only victor Jason Feger and runner-up McKay Wenger. Mike Spatola III Gets First Win of 2026 Season at Kankakee!
(April 26, 2026) Mike Spatola III and his #89 team dominated the weekly Super Late Model program on Friday night, April 24 at Kankakee County Speedway to record their first win of the 2026 season! Mike swept the show at the Kankakee, Illinois oval, as he earned Fast Time honors during qualifying prior to winning both the heat race and the feature. "Opie" pocketed the $1,500 first place prize money for besting Chase Osterhoff, Chad Osterhoff, Billy Knippenberg III, and Austin McCarty!

On Saturday evening, April 25, the action quickly turned to Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois for the annual running of the 'Garry Swibold Memorial.' The MARS Late Model Championship Series sanctioned the showdown, which shelled out a $5,098 winner's check. Mike ran third in his heat race, but was involved in a couple of incidents during the 40-lapper that dropped him to a disappointing sixteenth place effort. Top Ten for Spatola Racing in $25,000 Illini 100 Grand Finale
(April 12, 2026) Next up on the racing calendar for Spatola Racing was a trip to Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois on April 10-11 for the 19th edition of the 'Illini 100,' which was once again sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. On Friday night with a $12,000 paycheck on the line, Mike Spatola III narrowly missed out on the 40-lap feature after placing seventh in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main. With a hefty $25,000 top prize up for grabs in Saturday's grand finale, Mike grabbed the third transfer spot through his loaded heat race prior to advancing up inside of the top ten during the 60-lapper to record an impressive eighth place performance. Mike Spatola III Charges to Eleventh in $25,000 Indiana Icebreaker
(March 29, 2026) The Spatola Racing team dipped south to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday, March 28 for the annual running of the 'Indiana Icebreaker.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the single-day showdown in the Hoosier State and a $25,000 top prize was up for grabs. Mike Spatola III started off his evening by posting the tenth quickest lap in Group A during qualifying prior to running fifth in his stacked heat race. After grabbing the fourth transfer spot through the lone B-Main, Mike charged past nine competitors during the 50-lap headliner to land in the eleventh finishing position. Solid Start to 2026 Season for Spatola Racing at Springfield Raceway!
(March 15, 2026) Mike Spatola III and his #89 team were in the pit area at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri on March 13-14 for the two-day 'March Madness' spectacular. The MLRA Series presided over the pair of Super Late Model specials - each of which boasted a $5,000 payday. Making his season debut on Friday night, Mike earned Fast Time honors during qualifying prior to finishing second in his heat race and fifth in the 30-lap feature behind only victor Tony Jackson, Jr., Clay Stuckey, Eli Ross, and Caden McWhorter.
