Mike Spatola III Wraps Up 2025 Campaign in Gateway Dirt Nationals
(December 7, 2025) From December 4-6, Mike Spatola III wrapped up his version of the 2025 racing season indoors at The Dome at America's Center in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, as the ninth edition of the 'Gateway Dirt Nationals' was held in front of a huge grandstand crowd and a worldwide streaming audience. In his $10,000 to win preliminary event on Thursday, Mike unfortunately missed out on the 25-lap feature after running fifth in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main. "Opie" then placed ninth in his qualifier on Saturday evening and unfortunately did not transfer into the 40-lap headliner, which boasted a whopping $70,000 first place prize. Spatola Racing Invades Eldora Speedway for $100,000 DTWC
(October 19, 2025) The 45th edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship' took center stage on October 17-18, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series finale once again shelled out a whopping $100,000 top prize at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. On Friday night during preliminary action, Mike Spatola III laid down the twenty-second quickest time in Group B during the qualifying session prior to placing sixth in his stacked heat race.

At Eldora Speedway on Saturday evening, Mike finished seventh in his B-Main, which unfortunately kept him out of the 100-lap DTWC that was ultimately won by Bobby Pierce. In the 'Jim Dunn Memorial' for non-qualifiers; however, Mike blasted past twelve competitors to bring his #89 machine home second at the checkered flag behind only $3,000 victor Ethan Dotson! Top Ten for Spatola in FALS Frenzy Finale at Fairbury Speedway
(October 5, 2025) The MARS Late Model Championship Series concluded their version of the 2025 racing season on October 3-4 at Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois. On Friday in the $5,000 to win 'FALS Frenzy' lid lifter, Mike Spatola III placed third in his heat race, but unfortunately drew a caution flag shortly before the halfway mark in the 40-lap feature and was relegated to a twenty-first place performance. With a $12,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday's weekend finale, Mike ran third in his heat race and eighth in the 50-lap headliner. Mike Spatola Cashes in at Coles County for $10,000 Win!
(September 29, 2025) On Sunday night, September 28, Mike Spatola III and his #89 team claimed their fourth victory and largest payday of the season at the tiny Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois! In the inaugural 'Road to the Dome' program, Mike timed in ninth fastest overall during the qualifying session prior to placing second in his heat race. After securing a win in the dash, Mike started from the pole position in the 40-lap headliner. He then led each and every circuit to bag the $10,000 top prize ahead of runner-up Brandon Sheppard, Jason Feger, Chris Ferguson, and Chevy Boyer!

An evening earlier on Saturday, September 27, a $5,000 winner's check was up for grabs in the annual 'Illinois State Championship' at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois. Mike went second quickest overall during time trials and later won his heat race in preliminary action. "Opie" then led laps 2-10 of the 50-lap feature before crossing underneath the checkered flag in the fourth position behind only victor Ryan Unzicker, Jason Feger, and Caden McWhorter. Spatola Competes in 55th Annual World 100 at Eldora Speedway
(September 7, 2025) The 55th edition of the 'World 100' took center stage at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 4-6. Things kicked off in the Buckeye State with a pair of $12,000 to win, split-field preliminary programs. On Thursday night in the opener, Mike Spatola III qualified 37th quickest in Group A during time trials before winding up sixteenth in the final rundown of his Shootout race. At Eldora on Friday evening in a similar program, Mike grabbed the eighth transfer spot through his Shootout race and later placed twenty-fourth in his 25-lap feature.

When Saturday rolled around at the 1/2-mile speedplant, the stands were jammed packed and the first-ever sell out crowd in Eldora Speedway history was on hand to witness the $72,000 to win grand finale. "Opie" was unfortunately not able to transfer into the 100-lap crown jewel headliner after running tenth in both his heat race and his consolation event. (August 31, 2025) Over the Labor Day holiday weekend, the #89 team found themselves battling MARS Racing Series foes at both Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois and Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois on August 29-30. With a $5,000 payday up for grabs in Friday's weekend opener at Farmer City, Mike Spatola III won his heat race, led the first four circuits of the 40-lapper, and ultimately placed fourth behind only victor Ryan Unzicker, Ashton Winger, and Jason Feger. At FALS on Saturday with a $10,000 top prize on the line, Mike ran third in his heat race and twelfth in the 50-lap headliner after drawing an early caution flag.
